2025 Beer of the Year

The branch is pleased to announce the following brewery and beer of the year:

Brewery of the Year 2025: Swannay Brewery, Orkney

Swannay was preferred to another local brewery, Burnside from Laurencekirk, which took second place.

Beer of the Year 2025: Island Hopping from Swannay Brewery

There was a very tight competition for beer of the year, with Island Hopping beating Loch Lomond's Silkie Stout by just one vote.

Following the Good Beer Guide selection meeting the attendees moved from Ma Cameron's to the Grill (our recently crowned City Pub of the Year) and were very pleased to find Island Hopping available in that pub.
