On April 11th, Fierce Beer held the Northern Lights beer festival in the Music Hall, Aberdeen. While primarily showcasing keg beer options from Fierce and guest breweries, a separate Real Ale Trail ran in parallel over that weekend hosted by bars operated by the McGinty’s group.
The Grill (2 ales ) The Stag (2 ales) Under the Hammer, No 10 & The Ferryhill House Hotel all took part. Please McGinty’s and Fierce, make this permanent (or at least a regular fixture).
In related news, Fierce Beer has also been spotted on at least two occasions in Cask in the Blue Blazer in Edinburgh. That included the 12.5% Very Big Birthday Imperial Stout, which commemorates Fierce’s 10th year in operation. We are bemused why beers like this are not seen more regularly in bars in Aberdeen, or in the Fierce Bar at the Castlegate.
