Over a dozen members of the branch gathered in the snug at Ma Cameron’s on Saturday 21st Feb 2026 to review the results of the voting for pubs to be included in the 2027 Good Beer Guide. This comprises 10 pubs in Aberdeen City, 27 pubs elsewhere in Aberdeenshire, and 9 pubs in the Northern Isles. Unfortunately the names of those pubs are embargoed until the book is published.
However the process also covers nominations for our Branch Pubs of the Year, and it is our pleasure to announce the following winners.
Aberdeen City Pub of the Year 2026: The Queen Vic, runner up The Grill
Shire Pub of the Year 2026: Craft Bar (Pitmedden), runner up New Inn (Aberchirder)
Northern Isles Pub of the Year 2026: Helgi’s (Kirkwall), runner up St. Ola (Kirkwall)
Club of the Year 2026: Ravenswood, Banchory
The Overall Branch Pub of the Year 2026, which will be put forward for national competition is the Queen Vic.
