A day trip by bus from Aberdeen taking in Johnshaven and Gourdon. We shall visit the Anchor Hotel in Johnshaven and the Harbour Bar in Gourdon. Those who wish to can amble the coastal path between the the two villages, whilst others may choose to use public transport between them. The walk is 3.5 miles and should take less than 90 minutes.
Food is available until 3pm or you could bring a snack. Any decisions about extending the outing to take in pubs in Stonehaven will be taken on the day.
The X7 Stagecoach bus departs from Aberdeen Union Square Bus Station and goes to both Gourdon and Johnshaven via Stonehaven. It stops on the coast road with a steep walk down into both villages. Alternatively one can disembark the X7 in Stonehaven and catch the local 107 bus which runs directly down to the harbour in both villages.
