Gathering in the rarely visited New Inn at Aberchirder, with an opportunity to sample all of the beers brewed on-site in the pub. This visit coincides with the monthly folk music session. The bar opens at 16:00.
Transportation to Aberchirder (Foggie/Foggieloan) can be achieved by #10 bus from Aberdeen Bus Station departing 13:45 or 15.45, arriving 16:30 or 18:04, with a change of bus in Huntly onto #301. The Inverness train from Aberdeen also stops at Huntly and does the trip in under an hour.
Unfortunately the return journey is not so simple if you wish to return the same day! Anyone returning late to Aberdeen may need to hitch a lift from volunteer drivers (with a fallback of taxi) to Huntly or Inverurie to catch the last train (which departs 22:53) to Aberdeen (arrives 23:46).
