Small hotel, upgraded several years ago with new lounge/diner. Public bar and adjacent snug have standard plasma TVs for sports watching and pool/TV room has excellent large HD projected screen, often used by local rugby club for post-match entertainment. Styles itself as the 'Home of Deeside Rugby' and for Six Nations and World Cup matches the lounge is also equipped with a projector and screen to accommodate the large numbers who attend.

The public bar is a classic Scottish long bar with etched windows, vintage mirrors and is featured in CAMRA's Scotland's True Heritage Pubs. Public bar usually not open Mondays through Wednesdays in quiet seasons and usually only opens in the evenings the rest of the year. One ale, always Trade Winds. Used as a coffee shop during covid.
