This local inn and pub has excellent views of the eastern Grampian mountains. Under the same ownership for 35 years as of January 2025 and the emphasis is on excellent quality beers. CAMRA Country pub Of The Year 2020, 2023, 2024 and a winner of many previous local CAMRA awards, it retains a strong reputation for its imaginative choice of beers.
As of late 2018, the beer is served on gravity with three handpumps remaining on the bar to advertise the ales on offer. A successful blend of popular family restaurant and marvellous real ale pub, it is appreciated by a dedicated core of regulars.
