Built in the 18th Century, the Stables Bar in the Marykirk Hotel is a category C listed building. It is a former coaching inn situated in the village of Marykirk. Popular for hunting and fishing with the river North Esk, one of the top salmon rivers in Scotland, close to the village. Curl up around the woodburning stove in the bar and drink the one real-ale on offer.
