Modern hotel with an open plan lounge primarily focused on meals but welcoming to drinkers. Located in close proximity to the Standing Stones of Stenness, Ring of Brodgar and Maes Howe. The pub serves 1 regular beer.

Station Hotel (Ellon)

This imposing family-owned hotel, dating from 1891, is situated half a mile west of Ellon town centre and close to the Formartine and Buchan Way, a long-distance footpath popular with walkers and cyclists. The real ale is in the public bar where pool and darts can be played.

Luxury bedrooms, restaurant, bar and lounge. Located directly opposite Insch train station. No longer selling any real ale due to poor sales volumes.

Family run hotel with small, narrow bar with games room on a raised level at the back. The hotel is on the main street of the village. Landlord is keen to sell real ale as he is a fan himself (he drinks in the Shore Inn) but previous attempts to do so have not been successful.

This smart modern front bar called "Toots Cafe Bar & Bistro" has the single pump dispensing something from the local Rothes brewery range.

A small family run bar & restaurant situated in Dufftown, the middle of malt whisky country, whose aim is to provide everybody with a relaxed atmosphere whether it is to have a drink in the bar or enjoy a meal in the recently refurbished restaurant.

Sunninghill Hotel (Elgin)

Friendly family-run hotel set in its own grounds in a quiet residential area, very close to the town centre and the railway station. The comfortable lounge includes a dining area and there are additional tables in the conservatory, making it a popular venue for families.

Swannay Brewery (Orkney)

Formerly Highland Brewing Company and now re-branded as the Swannay Brewery. Rob Hill's brewery is in a former dairy on Orkney and has both a small and a large brew plant and brews a wide range of multi-award winning real ales, including Champion Beer of Scotland on 4 occasions!

The Exchange

Pleasant craft beer bar selling a range from local breweries, with food. Once a church, then a warehouse for ripening bananas, the premises operated as Cafe Musa, then the Hop and Anchor Draft House but which did not reopen after the covid-19 pandemic.
