Abbey Inn (Kinloss)

Situated in a row of listed stone cottages, this L-shaped two bar pub, which was tastefully refurbished has an impressive display of darts trophies near the dart board in the longer leg of the bar with two pool tables in the other.

Abbot (Aberdeen)

An estate pub and restaurant in Kincorth. Formerly known as Covenanters and sometimes still referred to as "Covies". Fine if all you want is a big T.

Aberdeen Arms (Tarland)

Part of a 300-year-old listed building in the village centre, this traditional inn has a recently extended wood-lined bar area, stripped wooden floors, low ceilings and a real fire. Closed winter Mondays and midweek lunchtimes. This pub serves 1 regular beer.

Abergeldie Bar (Aberdeen)

Large bar and lounge on Holburn Street near Bridge of Dee. Did have Tetley Bitter many years ago. Darts played. Close to Crathie student village.

Adams/Hawthorn (Aberdeen)

The Adams Lounge and the Hawthorn Bar occupy the same building. Smart lounge to the front adorned with multiple screens showing live sports. Refurbished in 2016 and now specialises in Tex-Mex food. The shuttered windows give a cosy feel to the place in the winter.

Against the Grain (Elgin)

Opened late August 2018, this is a small bar serving 'craft' beers from a converted barrel with six taps. Large range of bottled and canned beers. Restricted opening at moment but it is intended to open seven days a week in the near future and possibly install some cask ales.

Aitchies Ale House (Aberdeen)

This small corner bar is the closest real ale outlet to the city rail/bus stations and the Union Square shopping complex. Family owned, it retains the flavour of an old-fashioned Scottish pub with service second to none with bar staff all wearing traditional white aprons.

Albert Tavern (Freuchie)

A multi local award winning pub for beer and cider and twice Scottish pub of the year, this cosy two roomed traditional village local, reminds you of an old English village pub, with its low beamed ceiling and its welcoming atmosphere.

Archibald Simpson (Aberdeen)

This Wetherspoons pub is in one of many monumental granite buildings in central Aberdeen designed by local architect Archibald Simpson and is the former local headquarters of Clydesdale Bank. It has a pillared entrance overlooked for more than 180 years by a sculpture of Ceres.

Auld Motorhoose (Kirkwall, Orkney)

A motor themed, friendly pub with a single roomed bar with lots of motoring memorabilia and car parts scattered throughout the room. The juke box tends to blast out rock classics. Sister bar to the Torvhaug. Situated close to the bus station.

Balmoral Bar (Ballater)

Smart public bar, situated on a corner opposite the village square. Large plasma screens show sports and news while the adjacent pool room also has two large screens. Two hand pumps but sometimes only one in use. A rare sighting - there may be beer from Braemar brewery.

Bandstand (Braeval, Nairn)

Set overlooking the green, beyond the beach and Moray Firth, The Bandstand Bar in the Braeval Hotel has five handpumps offering a great selection of local and regional Scottish ales, with the occasional English one.

Bankhead Inn (Aberdeen)

The closest family owned bar to the brand new TECA/ P&J Live less than a 10 minute walk away. With a bus stop outside our front door which runs the 17, 17A &172 from Aberdeen Centre. Same owners as Woodend Bar nearby.

Family friendly pub and restaurant owned by the Reid family since 1991.

Bellslea Bar (Fraserburgh)

Sports bar and boozer with pool and darts.

Bieldside Inn (Aberdeen)

Traditional granite building with contemporary interior. Mainly food led but does have some keg beer lines and beers available in cans too.

Blue Lamp (Aberdeen)

Time has virtually stood still in the public bar here, where not a lot has changed since the 60s! This bar was usually staffed single-handedly by the late owner, Sandy Brown; his grandson Lewis has taken over the reins and the pub has now re-opened.

Boars Head (Inverurie)

Close to Inverurie but well off the beaten track, this former pub's main claim to fame is as the first ever winner of the CAMRA national pub of the year competition in 1988. The publican then moved to the Redgarth in Oldmeldrum.

Bobbin Mill (Aberdeen)

A large, single-roomed wood-beamed pub, close to Kings College and therefore very popular with students. It has with 2 pool tables, events and an eclectic food menu. No real ale.

Bothy Bar (Kirkwall, Orkney)

Ideally located at the Albert Hotel in the centre of town, the Bothy is handy for shops, buses and ferries to the outer isles. Busy in the early evening after work, it is also a lively part of the night scene at weekends.
