Large pub with a distinctly Scottish theme. Named after the Bothy Ballad, McGintys Meal 'n' Ale whaur the pig went on the spree! Serves up to 3 ales from Caledonian and Inveralmond.

McNastys (Anerdeen)

Formerly known as Filthy McNastys, this pub has intermittently flirted with real-ale, but not selling at the moment. Two dart boards and supports two darts teams. Festooned with TV screens, it is very popular with the sporting crowd - impossible not to see the telly!

Meldrum Arms (Oldmeldrum)

In the centre of Oldmeldrum, this hotel and Indian restaurant also has a public with with cold beer and pool.

Mither Tap

Beside Aberdeen college, this is a rather run down and dark establishment for TV sport and lager.

Molly Malones (Aberdeen)

Previously the Abercrombie and named after the architect who designed the building, this pub was re-opened after refurbishment on 8th November 2019 as a pseudo Irish pub. 

Moorings Bar (Aberdeen)

Legendary rock and bikers and anybody-else-who-dares pub which has had a facelift and is now known as Krakatoa. The only pub in this website with two entries, this one retained for posterity.

Muckle Cross (Elgin)

A typical small Wetherspoon's converted from what was once a bicycle repair shop, then a Halfords branch. The pleasant long room has ample seating, a family area and a long bar. Deservedly popular, so it can get very busy, particularly at weekends.

Muggarthaugh (Alford)

Small hotel in remote location, has a friendly bar decorated with brass measuring jugs, and separate lounge with large wood-burning stove. A separate restaurant. The pool and darts area is partially divided off from the public bar and there is a beer garden to the rear.

The Noose and Monkey is medium sized lounge bar which is frequented by theatre-goers (His Majesty's Theatre is nearby) and is equally popular with locals. Bar gets its name from a Hartlepool connection and French shipwreck.
