Good Beer Guide

Selection Process

Members of the Aberdeen, Grampian and Northern Isles branch are responsible for selecting the pubs which appear in our section of the national Good Beer Guide (GBG). The Good Beer Guide can be purchased from most bookshops, or order direct from CAMRA.

Have Your Say: GBG 2021

A member is only eligible to vote for a pub if they have actually visited the pub and drank there in the previous 12 months. Each vote can be ranked from -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 depending on the strength of feeling that the member wishes to express.

The voting form and letter for the 2021 Good Beer Guide can now be downloaded using the links at the bottom of this page. The letter contains a full set of instructions. PLEASE, all members use your vote!

Every pub in our branch area is surveyed by volunteer members of the Branch to ensure that if the pub is successful in being included in the GBG, the information in the guide will be accurate. The survey form and guidance notes are also available for download and can be submitted to our Pubs Officer at pubsofficer@aberdeencamra.org.uk

The meeting to select pubs for the 2020 GBG will be held at Ma Cameron's Snug on Sat 15th February 2020 at 2pm. The Pub of the Year (POTY) voting for City, Country & Northern Isles pubs as well as the Beer Of The Year / Brewery Of The Year (New) voting.

NB The files for the 2021 Voting will be uploaded once the pub details have been finalised.
