Pubs

For recent COVID-19 updates, please see the News section. Information held here about beer-availability may not be accurate due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Aberdeen branch collates information about pubs in the Branch Area that are known to sell, or have recently sold, Real Ale. Summary information and local recommendations for the best places to drink real ale (or whisky) can be found using the maps and search tools on this website.

We DO NOT make any promises about Real Ale Quality. If you want to know the best pubs in the Branch Area then you could consider purchasing the Good Beer Guide

Due to geography and lack of footfall, some pubs stock ale on a seasonal basis during the tourist season only. No promise of Real Ale Availability can be made when you visit. If travelling specially to visit a specific pub then please phone ahead.

Voting by our branch members decides which pubs are listed in the Good Beer Guide. Learn how the selection mechanism works here.

Please visit What Pub for greater detail about each pub based on the annual surveys conducted by our volunteer members.
