Kings Bar (Aberdeen)

A photo on the wall shows the bar counter and gantry have been there years, possibly since the 1930s. It has a mirrored five-bay gantry with two glass-fronted cabinets and a clock on top. It all looks old but bar staff say fire damage to the left hand side in the 1960s so it may be it is a copy or repaired in that area? The good bar counter is over 50 years old but the panelling was added in the late 1990s and the left side panels have been painted battleship grey. The ceiling has been lowered in recent years. Note the brass strips along the top of the counter which were used to light matches. There are two working brass water taps on the counter. There is a small separate lounge / darts area at the rear with new fixed seating.
