Large Marstons carvery on the A90 a couple of miles south of the town centre. Primarily a restaurant with a very limited area for non diners. Not easy for pedestrian access and definitely geared up for families visiting by car.

Old town-centre hotel, built in 1850, fairly recently refurbished and modernised. Consists of a separate public bar and and Indian restaurant with good sized function room and dining room and a large wood-burning stove located between two pillars in public bar. One regular beer.

Converted from a former shipping office, this small, smart bar has the look of a modern cafe and is located on the harbour front where seafood is landed daily.
Bar at Aberdeen Railway Station. No longer selling ale although the pumps are still on the bar! Go to Aitchies instead.
Picturesque whisky and cask ale bar on Speyside's Whisky Trail, close to the Speyside Way which runs along the car park. Popular with tourists, walkers and fishermen and is very busy during whisky festivals and the tourist season.
Refurbished community bar on a busy roundabout that servers food and where pool and darts are played. Upstairs function room.

Large social club with many meeting rooms which may be booked for functions, meetings etc. Post pandemic, the bar has not resumed selling real ale. The bar of this extensive lounge containing two pool tables and two dart boards amid plentiful seating and tables.
Single pump in bar on left hand side as enter via main entrance. Room is L-shaped and bar is at the far end. Has a billiard table in the separate room on the right hand side of the main entrance. Closes for winter.
A small, friendly basement bar situated in the heart of the city centre at the west end of Union Street. It is easy to find, look out for the bandsman clock above the now, sadly, closed Bruce Millers music store.

The Invercauld Mews bar lies in a separate building behind the main Invercauld Arms hotel, with four handpulls. You may find beer from the Braemar brewery.
