Sadly, no longer sells any real ale. A long standing outlet, it has undergone many changes of ownership and the ale quality had been declining in the last few years, possibly due to less people drinking there.

Parkvale Social Club is open for members and non members. Pool, Darts, Dominoes and jukebox. Function room available to hire. Bar upstairs and lounge downstairs. Bingo and live entertainment every weekend
Difficult to find estate pub hiding off a lane from the Balgownie Road. Look for Shri Bheema's Indian Restaurant next door. Darts played.
Small hotel in coastal village reached by a windy, steep narrow road. Village is probably most famous for featuring in the 80s movie Local Hero with the famous red telephone box.

The Pittendrum Bar & Lounge in Sandhaven (near Fraserburgh) offers Live Music, Pool and Karaoke.
Traditional boozer with the only original island bar remaining in the Aberdeen area. A fantastic array of superb original mirrors are a wonder to behold. A pub that should have real ale, but doesn't!
This is a small one-man brewery at the coffee shop in Torphins. Beer is only available in the cafe but bottles were available to buy and take away. There is no cask beer.

Congratulations to Queen Vic in Rosemount, which was marginally preferred to the Mosset Tavern in Forres and Helgi's in Kirkwall as the 2022 Pub of the Year.
